Colored Porcelain with Deb Kaller
Weekend Workshop - February 28 - March 1 (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
This comprehensive two-day workshop is designed for clay enthusiasts of all skill levels who are interested in exploring the vibrant possibilities of colored porcelain. Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to work with colored clay to create a variety of small plates and bowls, each showcasing brilliant hues and intricate designs.
Join us for hands on learning to color porcelain, prepare colored clay canes, lamination techniques, and building layers with Mokume-gane as well as subtractive techniques to create unique patterns. In addition, there will be a throwing demo (neriage) and glazing discussion.
Deb is a ceramic artist and teacher: over 40 years of experience, proficient in wheel throwing and hand building techniques including slab and coil building. Her current work incorporates layers of colored porcelain to get bright and fun designs.
