In this workshop, students will be instructed through the entire teapot making process including lid and gallery making, handle and spout forming, and construction and assembly. Discussions and demonstrations will include thoughts on design, function, and ergonomics. A variety of throwing and handbuilding techniques will be shared to help you approach teapots and spouted forms with a greater sense of confidence and purpose.
Clay is not included. Feel free to bring your own if you would like to fire your own pieces. If you would like OPC to fire, clay will be available for purchase.
